SESSION ONE: Choosing Your Topic and Planning Your 3 Days

In this training series, we are going to cover the process for planning your next instagram live training series. Each of these sessions is very DO WITH ME style rather than a straight traditional training.

Because of that, I am going to lay out the process / action steps FIRST, and then you can watch the video if you want to see people completing those steps in live time.

This document linked here is one that I created AFTER this initial session one training, but you can use it as you work through this entire planning process.

  • STEP ONE: Set a timer on your phone for 1 minute. In that minute, I want you to brain dump as many topics as you can think of that you could do an Instagram live training on.
    • Be super specific and narrow focused.
    • Remember the goal of instagram live is to be short sweet and to the point.
    • For example: “Strategy for carousel posts.” vs “The 3 Copy Strategies You Can Start Using Today in Your Carousel Posts.”
  • STEP TWO: Decide what you want the goal of your training to be. Do you want it to lead to building your email list through a freebie? Do you want it to be for engagement? Do you want it to sell a low ticket offer?
    • Choose the topic from your brainstormed list that will best lead into that goal.
    • Make sure that the topic can be fully discussed in the number of days you are planning (I recommend 3.)
  • STEP THREE: Get really specific on what you ware going to teach on each day. If you find yourself needing to include TONS of topics, your topic is to broad. Narrow it down!
    • If you are struggling with this, use the following prompt to put into your AI of choice: “I am planning a 3 day instagram live training series on (insert topic). What are three really specific concepts that I could focus on in these three days of training if I want to keep my lives to 5-7 minutes long.”
    • See what ChatGPT generates for you. Take what is good and leave behind what doesn’t fit! It may just help you get over your brain block.
